• Atman

The Atman or Atma (IAST: Ātmā, sanskrit: आत्म‍ ) is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence.

    in case you were wondering

    By heather | September 28, 2007

A status update because I know you’ve all been waiting with bated breath. (breathes out…)

I am OK with my hair. I cancelled the emergency highlight session this afternoon. It no longer looks like I colored it myself with shoe polish, although I’ve basically been washing it with Palmolive the whole week.

Just as my stylist said, the toner is fading and some natural highlights are coming back. So yes, it just took time. I am happy with my new fall look. Emotional crisis over. Shortly I will post a picture. I’ve been trying to get one where I don’t look crazy or too wide-eyed and am not smiling like someone who’s just had dental implants. Because I want you to be able to focus on the hair.

    More news flashes:

Bananas make a better, cheaper, and fun smelling alternative to hair gel. We are ready for our playdate with Gwen Stefani’s kid. (I did this, but baby started it. This is why we take baths nightly now.)

And finally, no it is not Ash Wednesday, and we are not Catholic. This is from the dining room table and OMG the first bruise is as horrifying as the first time your child bleeds.

Finally, check out my left eye over at the Advice Smackdown.
