• Atman

The Atman or Atma (IAST: Ātmā, sanskrit: आत्म‍ ) is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence.

    the week in pictures

    By heather | December 20, 2007

Because I just cannot accept defeat, and because I cannot fathom spending money to pay someone to cut my child’s hair when he styles it with sweet potatoes, I present Haircut v2.0.

    Better no?

Because on principle, I refuse to go visit MallSanta, I present BetaSanta.

Even better, this Santa sings and dances when you press his mitten. And I can use my own camera.

Because Alex is usually not allowed in the bathroom since he has been known to swish things around in the bowl, I present confused…aren’t-you-coming-to-get-me-baby.

And no, that is not a light sabre by the door, but my sneakers with reflective trim.

And finally, because we’ve been dealing with a runny nose for approximately two solid months now, I present clean-nose-drooly-chin.

I’m just so happy it isn’t snot. Although there’s a small possibility that it’s toilet water.
