• Atman

The Atman or Atma (IAST: Ātmā, sanskrit: आत्म‍ ) is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence.

    in retrospect

    By heather | January 4, 2008

As I’ve mentioned in the past, news is news when I say it is here on my blog, so here is my most favorite Christmas picture.

This is the first photo where I’ve captured teeth. I don’t even remember taking this and yet, when I downloaded the Christmas photos (this morning at 5am, ha) there it was. Only a mere 10 days after Christmas, when no one wants to do anything but get their decorations put away.

Ah the most wonderful time of year. Thank God it’s over and the bleak but calm, obligation free moments of January are here. Sometimes, I think Christmas should be like February 29th.
