• Atman

The Atman or Atma (IAST: Ātmā, sanskrit: आत्म‍ ) is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence.

    it’s not you, it’s me

    By heather | February 5, 2008

You know how some days start out really great? Sun shining, baby is singing, you wear loose clothes so you can breathe?

And then you go to work?

And while you’re at work, person after person annoys you somehow?

And then you remind yourself, if everyone and everything is annoying maybe it isn’t them, it’s probably me?

But you’re so irritated anyway that you tell your inner self to STFU and go about your day being annoyed at everyone?

That’s me. And later, irony of ironies, I’m going to teach a yoga class.

Good news though. Just by writing it down I feel better. That makes the blog worth it’s weight in hosting fees. Now I’m going to go get some Starbucks.
