• Atman

The Atman or Atma (IAST: Ātmā, sanskrit: आत्म‍ ) is a philosophical term used within Hinduism and Vedanta to identify the soul. It is one's true self (hence generally translated into English as 'Self') beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence.

can you tell I’m sleeping broken sleep?

    By heather | July 28, 2008

I remember, way back before Alex was born, wondering what it was that stay at home moms did all day.  Har har.

Last night, exhausted at 6pm I sat on the couch feeding Emily Kate watching Alex run laps through the house, as he’s been doing nearly full time for the last 6 days.  He never stops moving.  Ever.  He also never walks.

Sitting on my butt in some office all day is WAAAAY easier.

Where do you find your Internet time with two kids?

I really want to go to the gym.

Second kids get the shaft on picture taking.  I’m realizing that I have little to choose from, so I’m posting this and then going to stalk my offspring with the camera.

Namaste to all those with faux-hawks.

I see you’ve already taught her the punching baby pose. You’ll get it all figured out…sometime!

I love the faux-hawk. She needs a punk onesie.

I sometimes wonder how I’m going to manage the sleep deprivation of the newborn period again, and while dealing with toddler-wrangling to boot. Somehow people do it, though. Is there a secret?

Very cute. Jim wonders what I do all day too. Then he huffs and puffs at night when he can’t get anything done with a two year old following him around wanting his attention.

And yeah, the couple days a month when I go into work? Way more relaxing than staying at home.
