this counts as a post right?
By heather | November 8, 2008
It’s Saturday and I am posting only because I’m an official NaBloPoMo ho, so let’s make it easy on me.
Picture!
Look! It’s Alex and the Tiny Diva! Together! A photo I’ve been trying to get for weeks!
This picture is amazing because normally right as I’m about to push the button, Alex decides he doesn’t want to hold the baby anymore and just stands up, causing me to test the shock proof factor on my camera as I lurch forward to save my rolling sack of potatoes child. (Then again, allowing your two-year old to hold the baby without some sort of safety net may not be the smartest trick in the parental book.)
You could certainly be forgiven for thinking that TTD is a boy, given that she’s wearing a sleeper covered with cars and lacks any gender identification in the form of a pink Nuk or headband.
(Strike me dead if I ever put a headband around her head.)
(Not that it isn’t OK for YOU if you like that sort of thing, but our family has rather large noggins and I’m afraid a headband would be the equivalent of a rubber band around your fingertip.)
And now something for you to nosh on – why is it that anything pink automatically identifies the baby as a girl? Like if she were wearing a pink sleeper with a blue Nuk in her mouth you wouldn’t assume she was a boy, right? But a boy sleeper and pink Nuk equals girl?

Totally counts as a post.
And yea, pink is the identifying color for girls. No way around it.

Awe! She is totally diva-licious! And I am 100% against the headband around the bald noggin look for baby girls.
