pathetic, but this is what we call a snowstorm

This is what passes for a snowstorm that will close school for TWO DAYS round these parts. After Alex’s last foray into the snow at my parent’s house when SOMEONE tossed icy snow that happened to hit him in the eye, it took some convincing to get the snowpants on.

See the snow angel? No? I bet you were one of those people who didn’t recognize the baby in your ultrasound weren’t you? (I didn’t either – if it helps the snow angel has no head).

Back in the house, the dog senses fallen prey.

Through the cold dark winter, she stalks the penguin, watching…waiting.
 |
And when the time is right, she’ll move in for the kill.
 |
NAAAAHHH!! Just kidding! I can’t move my arms! Help!

P.S. In case you are observant enough to wonder why there is a bed in the playroom, it’s part of a little game we call “Heather and Brett freak out that the dead 150 foot tall tree we should have had cut down two years ago is going to fall and crash into the babies’ rooms in the stiff breeze of the first snowstorm we’ve had in 4 years”. And yes, by 5:30am all four of us plus the cat were crammed onto the queen size air mattress like ship-wrecked sailors. Good times. Little sleep, but good times.
